Dance Battle
Furry Migration wants to bring the excitement and fun to the dance floor of Minnesota very own Furry Migration. Join us at main stage to see the exciting battle commence.
This year’s Dance Battle, will be 1 bracket of 32 dancers both in and out of suit.
Both fursuiters and non fursuiters will be competing for total domination of the dance floor! Each competitor will give it their all twice for 30 seconds each with random music that is spun by our house DJ. The challenge is to take whatever music is playing and do your best to improvise a well-suited dance. The music could go from hard core, EDM, to 80s pop, to smooth jazz, you never know what will be until the music starts! We will have a knockout bracket to decide our 3rd place winner and our final showdown to crown the winner of this year’s Furry Migration 2024 Lost In Dance Battle!
Rules
- Each competitor will be put into a One-vs-One bracket with the winner of each round moving on using a typical single elimination policy.
- Each battle will give the dancer two 30 second rounds to perform to.
- The winner will be determined by a panel of judges. In the event of a tie, the dancers will be given one more 30 second dance for the judges to consider.
- The winner is decided on judges signaling left or right to the dancer they wish to advance or creating an X with their arms if undecided.
- We ask all performers to be in attendance 30 minutes before doors open to be signed in, if you are not here your slot will be taken by a standby performer.
- Taunting other dancers: Dance taunts are allowed, but spoken taunts are not. Also, no physical contact with other dancers!
- Rules may change based on the number of participants.
- Sign up closes 8/31/2025 2:00am Central Standard Time (limited spots may be open at the convention)

- All performers and attendees must be registered with Furry Migration to attend and/or perform in the event.
- Furry Migration is not: Liable for any injuries or damages to it participants or property during the Dance Battle.
- Event staff reserves the right to remove or change rules or stipulations at any time. Event staff also reserves the right to revoke any competitor’s registration and eligibility to the competition based on reasonable grounds.
