Privacy Statement

This notice discloses the privacy practices for Furry Migration, a Minnesota Furs group. This notice applies to information collected by Furry Migration, the Furry Migration Companion app, and Furry Migration’s Registration websites.
 

Our Obligations

• We collect information only for anonymous tracking, application performance, and application stability. No browsing information will be tied to an individual user.
• We only actively track what you have voluntarily given us via pre-registration, volunteering, or any other direct request.
• We will use your information only to respond to you in the way you’ve requested of us.
• We will not sell or rent this information to anyone outside of Furry Migration and Minnesota Furs.
• We will not share your information with any third party unless required to fulfill tasks needed to host a convention.
• We must comply with all legal requests for information, but we shall review them carefully to determine what information should be passed to law enforcement.

Unless otherwise stated, we hold the right to contact you via email and/or telephone in the future to tell you about events, news, or changes to this privacy policy.
 

Furry Migration Companion App

The Furry Migration Companion app is designed to work with as little personal information as possible.

• Your favorites, personal events, and app settings are stored on your device. We do not receive them.
• Crash reporting is optional and is off unless you choose to share reports.
• A crash report may include technical details such as the app version, device type, operating system, and where the app failed. It does not include your favorites, personal events, or anything else from your phone outside the app.
• We use crash reports only to find and fix problems with the app.
• The app does not use analytics to track which screens you view, which events you favorite, or the personal events you create.
• The app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging and notification services provided by Apple and Google to learn when convention information changes and to deliver notices. Event reminders are scheduled on your device.
• You may turn crash reporting and notifications off at any time in the app or your device settings.

 

Your Rights

You may opt out of any future contact by notifying us via email, phone, or via automated unsubscribing tools. Any request for changing or deleting information must be submitted through the Contact Us form by selecting “Privacy Questions” as the department. We will respond to the request within 14 business days.
 

Security

We take information privacy seriously and will take all reasonable measures needed to secure any information presented to us. These measures may include taking information offline, using encryption, and limiting financial transaction information to critical finance and registration staff only.
