Room Party Planning Guide

What does hosting a room party entail?

Room parties are a vital heart of the convention experience. From art gatherings to late night ragers, you can be an active part of the community and tailor your convention experience by hosting a party on our Party Row.

To begin the first stages of your party, make your Hotel Room reservation and register for the convention early. We also recommend signing up for email updates for the convention or following us on social media for any news that may pertain to you.

Keep your party going all weekend! Room parties are hosted on the 3rd floor, each running for a minimum of 6 hours throughout the convention. Two of those hours must be on Friday, and another two hours must be on Saturday. However you allocate the remainder of the time is up to you. You could run a longer party Friday/Saturday to fill the quota, or run an additional party on Thursday or Sunday.

Applying for a party slot

When applying for a room party, we ask that you thoroughly outline what the basis of your party will be. This will help us determine your location on the Party Floor, and improve your chances to be chosen to host.

Consider the following:

• Will it be a quiet party, or will it be a rave?
• Will you be serving alcohol?
• Will your party be strictly 18+ or 21+, or will it be all ages?
• What is the theme of your party?
• What are going to be your hours of operation?

Hosting benefits

There are many benefits to hosting your own party.

Firstly, the party rooms have access to the front stairwell as well as an express elevator (services Fl 1 to 6) – no more Elevator Con for you.

Secondly, the Party Row consists of suites. What this means is your previous room reservation(s) will get changed to an executive suite room ($205 per night*) to host your wonderful gathering if chosen.

Finally, your hard work and dedication to hosting will earn you volunteer time that goes towards the Consuite benefits, MN Furs board hours, and other great rewards for volunteering your time into Furry Migration’s room party culture.

Have fun! Decorate! Gather supplies and make your experience a memorable one. Remember, do not break the hotel!
