The Championship – Microfiction Contest

Are you a writer looking to show off your skills? Then how about participating in Furry Migration’s Microfiction Contest this year? All you have to do is write a short (about a paragraph) story in celebration of this year’s theme: The Championship! The best entries will win convention merchandise and other special prizes to be determined later. In addition to being judged on how well they convey an idea, scene or story, each piece will also be judge on how well it illustrates the elements of the theme this year.

GUIDELINES

• Your entry must be less than 500 characters.
• You must be 18 years of age or older, or have parental permission, to submit your short fiction piece for consideration.

Mention of copyrighted or trademarked teams (fictional or real life) will disqualify your entry.

• Submissions are to be no more than PG-13 rating. Any inappropriate content will be rejected. Furry Migration is a family friendly convention.
• By submitting your writing, Minnesota Furs and Furry Migration retain a non-exclusive, non-transferable publication license for re-publication in the convention booklet, posters, publications, flyers and/or website of writing and artwork submitted for the Furry Migration 2019 convention.
• Any entries submitted for this contest, even if they do not win, may be used in printed or online material for the convention.
• All decisions by the Theme Committee, or it’s selected judges, are final.
• Submissions will close on July 14th.
